Time For A Raise?

In the article " Time for raise?" It talks about how president Obama wants to increase the federal minimum wage to $9.00 and hour. It also talks about how raising minimum wage to $9.00 is going to make it harder for jobs to hire because of the cost he/she has to pay employees.

In the article others spoke up on how raising minimum wage to $9.00 is going to cause problems.It states "But the idea faces stiff opposition. Many companies that hire low-wage workers have opposed raising the minimum because it increases their cost of doing business and, they say, makes them less able to hire new workers or give current employees raises." It also said "The White House says the measure would boost the wages of about 15 million workers. A full-time minimum-wage worker would see an additional $3,500 of income a year, On the other hand , some argue that making employees more expensive for companies to hire might increase unemployment -an unappealing prospect given high levels of joblessness that remain long after the recession technically ended."

I think that they should raise minimum wage amount of money they get an hour. I feel as though they should because the workers work hard enough, its been a while since they had a raise. If I was in they predicament I would want a job raise. Its about time.

Well my aunt has 4 girls ages 9 years old, 6 years old, 3 years old, and 1 years old. She used to ask me to watch them, I charged her $5.00 a head meaning $5.00 per child. I've been babysitting for a couple years now I never went up on how much I charged her. I got older, my things got expensive, so I thought it was time for a raise i charge her $10.00 per child. She said its beginning to be expensive, but its been a minute since I had a raise.

Since I really don't pay much attention to minimum wage and how it operates and all that other stuff, it really was an eye opener because I'm at the age where I can get a job and make my own money so I think it was important for me to know about the changes that is about to be mad.

In the article " Slaughter of the African Elephants" written by: Samantha Strindberg and Fiona Maisels its talks about how forest animals over in Africa and animals in general are being butchered. They also talking about the percentage of animals that is disappearing where to.

In the passage it says "A staggering 62 percent vanished from central Africa between 2002 and 2011, according to a study we have just published with 60 percent other scientist in the journal PLoS One. It was the largest such study ever conducted in the central African forests, where elephants are being poached out of existence for their ivory.It also stated "Both forests and savanna elephants, thought by some biologists to be separate species, have been killed off by poachers across vast area of Africa, though it is the forest elephant at this point that is being pushed to extinction."

I think they shouldn't kill the elephants or other animals because I feel as though if their not bothering you, leave them be. Believe it or not animals are entitled to freedom the same way we are. If they are not harming you leave them be.

Well, just like life is today innocent people are getting shot and killed. My mom god brother lived in South Philly. One night he decides to walk to the poppy store his friend walked with him.it was roughly around 9:45pm that night he was approached by two dark skinned males. They realized they were approached because it was a mistaking identity, but the two African American males took upon they self to still take they life just because....They were innocent and wasn't harming anyone. Our generation is killing each other over nothing just to own a reputation on the streets.

This article is really an eye opener. It helped me realized its not just people that is being killed just because people feel like its right to do, but because they feel like it. Animals are being killed to for no reason. Freedom was granted for a reason and those who take it for granted looses it.

In this article it talks about how beyonce announces she's pregnant, but her baby bump came and go as it pleased. She had a sergeant mom, but didn't want everyone in her business so she ordered a baby bump of her own.

In the article it says "a few months after announcing she was pregnant she went hiding for a moment, in about another few months she came back with a medium sized baby bump." Another statement it made was "Beyonce performed when she was supposedly 7 months, she had no baby bump then, nor did she have any swelling, baby fat or nothing else a normal pregnant women would have."

In my opinion I think she didn't have the baby on her own because her pictures that was older then some when she was pregnant didn't match her calculations of how big her belly should have been. Being as though she didn't want everyone in her business she ordered her own baby bump, I respect her privacy maybe she wanted to avoid all the questions millions of people would ask. 

There was a time when my best friend was adopting a baby but she told everyone she was pregnant, suddenly she moved in another state like after 2 months, she wasn't heard from again until 1 year later, and she returned with a beautiful baby girl, she was 1 years old or so, but when everyone asked how come she didn't come around when she was pregnant she blamed it on her family issues and said she just wanted to get far away.

This article helps you understand that people like their privacy alot, and that others need to respect that, there is somethings you can and should know and there somethings that just really isn't non of your business.

In the article Sisters In Arms it talks about how women is big help when it comes to the army, navy & Etc. It also talks about how they can do jobs just as well as men can in the army. It shows how they can handle men jobs.

In the article it states "nearly 300,000 women have served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Working as medics, intelligence officers, military police, and in host of other jobs, they've routinely been "attached" to all-male ground combat units on the front lines. It also says "They're fighting and they're dying together, and the time has come for our policies to reflect that reality" Penetta says.

In my opinion I think that women is strong and brave enough to fight in the army, navy & Etc. Women can handle just as much pressure as a man. But in some cases people in general think that only men can do this and only men can do that. I don't think that's true they need to have more faith in us women.  

Well there was a time when my brother and I was at a family Reunion we was playing a game being as though we had to carry 6 bags of flower across the lawn, everyone kept saying , "you not going to win cause he a boy and he's a boy, he stronger",but I didn't let that stop me. The game began he was beating me at first he had 4 bags on the other side, I had 3 bags , I thought to myself I'm not going to prove them right, I manage to pick up all 3 bags and got them to the other side. I proved to them that a girl or women can be just as strong as a boy or man. 

This article stood out to me, it actually showed how important a women role is helping the U.S. They are really thanked and Its great that they can prove a good amount of people wrong.

Why Sand Hook Elementary? 

In the article Why Sandy Hook Elementary it tells the guy reasoning for shooting those innocent teachers and children.It tells about his feelings and how he felt and how he thought this was going to help him relieve his pain. He took his angry out on innocent people.

In the passage it stated" He stayed in his room for hours playing video games, teaching the same training they'll teach a police officer. Reload your gun before entering another room , or aiming at your next target, What type of guns to use" It also stated that he was a sick kid, he felt neglected by his mom he said like on the game he wanted to be remembered like in the game when he get the highest score for killing the most people, he wanted it to be real so he made it happen."

I think that its really said that people think of the worst ways to be remembered, why couldn't he do something positive rather then killing. I say that is not a good reason to kill those innocent people who were killed. I think its very sad.

There was a time my mom was telling me this story about her girlfriend who had 3 kids. She was married with her husband they were living a normal life he help raise the kids, but she had a secret to tell him she was afraid because she knew how attach she was to them. He had an Idea of what she had to tell the last two children which was twins didn't look much like him..she finally told him the twins wasn't his, he went insane he killed her the two twins, only 4 years old and shot himself in the head.He left a note explaining everything.

This article was an eye opener no matter how much you go through, harming yourself and someone else isn't going to help at all.It showed me how sick a person cane be, you cant trust everyone.

In the article " Historically Incorrect Canoodling" written by Stephanie Coontz talks about how valentines day has came to be and how it was created. It tells how after a few years later how it has change and doesn't have the same feeling and meaning as it did way back in the day. It was mad a holiday by a man named "Valentine". It tells how valentines day is the day to ask your loved one to be yours forever, and to be romantic.

In the article it says " For thousands of years, love, passion, and marriage were considered a rare and usually undesirable combination. Valentine's Day was originally created by the Roman Catholic Church as a limit on sexual passion."It also says Valentine's Day is a reminder of just how romantic we are, Restaurants are reserved months in advance for romantic dinner for two. 

I think that Valentine's Day is such a great holiday to celebrate with your partner. I think its the best time to spend with the one you love dearly. I agree that it does brings out the romantic sides of people. That's when love is in the air.I find it to be something fun too. I like seeing all the hearts and seeing how happy a human being can make one another.

Well, this was recently this year when Valentines Day came along my friend and I went out for dinner, went to the movies, and spent our day with memories we cherish most. We gave one another a promise ring saying we were to be honest at all times. I love the feeling of being loved.

This article did help me think of it more. I used to think Valentines Day was all about the female. I thought your partner was suppose to do for only you, but its not its for both genders to celebrate something they tried so hard to build. So I guess Valentines Day is the day to celebrate all your hard work and dedication to your partner.

Trying Times

In the article " Trying times " By: Patricia Smith is mostly about how high unemployment and increasing college debt is making it harder for young people to start their careers. Its talks about the loans, and how its a big deal for those just entering the work force.

The article includes the percentage of students who couldn't find any work forces In the passage it stated "Almost 12 percent of Americans under 25 are unemployment. That's substantially higher than the overall unemployment rate of 7.8 percent, and it amounts to nearly 6.5 million young people who are neither in the workforce nor in school." They think that no matter what your gender or race with out a college degree, young people just not getting no job opportunities.

In my honest opinion, I think that being as though all the money spent going to college they should at least make sure every have a good shot at getting job opportunities or workforce that's available to them. I find this very important because I plan on attending college, and I want it to be worth it.

My brother was class of  " 2011"  after he graduated he started college right away. He got accepted to Scranton, he moved there on campus. Everything was going well for the mean while until the money problems started. He had borrowed loans and had to get money from other people. He eventually dropped out because it was becoming a big problem and had no other option he plan on going back.

This article gave me a better view of what to expect when I submit , and attend college. It helped me see that it won't be a piece of cake that its going to come with some struggles. It also let me know now that i should start saving up ALL the money that's possible.

16 year old shot and killed New Year Night

Bringing in the new years wrong, 16 year old boy shot and killed feuding over an iPhone when the 16 was leaving the party he was shot several times. It was devastating welcoming the New Years in with such sadness.

"America today is becoming such an shame place to even say its a positive place to raise children, they need to put the guns down and stick together as one. "This is a crazy ass generation we living". I feel like we can be better as one we just to keep pushing others to change their ways in life and really do what they think is right,I believe we can do it so lets do it together. 

I think that it was the most horrible way to welcome in your New Year. I clearly don't understand why Black brothers cant stick together and come as one. Philadelphia is becoming a wreck. Its so much going on alot of teens are dying young. It can be prevented before it even happens. Half of the killings are over non sense. 

I knew this boy and they were arguing over a female. The two boys were friends at one point they let this young lady bring their friend ship to an end.So they started going back and fourth over nothing. It has gotten real wild and out of control at this point. One boy so happens to show up at the other boy house, see him chilling with the female and BANG! BANG! two shots went off  shooting his best friend in the head.

This article helped me realized that phones, friends, fighting, arguing, and Etc. is not worth your life. You determine your every move and make your own choices. But it also shows you that life is short.

In the article " Philadelphia superintendent identifies schools he intend to close" By: Kristen A. Graham is about how the Philadelphia superintendent plans on closing downs a great amount of school to save money. 

In this article it talks about how the Philadelphia superintendent is closing down alot of schools to save money. they want to close school to save money so we wouldn't be debt.In the article it says " 17,000 students and 2,000 staffers would be affected by the moves. Thirty-seven buildings would close for a savings of about $28 million. money the nearly broke district says it needs to survive."

I think shutting down the schools was a good idea. You have to think about what would happen in a long run if the school district goes broke. Any how half these school in the district of Philadelphia are not worth the money, most schools does not have enough children, some are just poor and does not teach well or just not organized well enough. I think its a good idea to save money and better the other schools that worth it.

Well I been through something similar. For instance like my cell phone I had 3 app I really liked the most but I didn't have anymore space in my phone to download a app that I really needed. So it cam down to decision time. I had to make a choice I really didn't want to delete anything but therefore I had to.I made the choice to delete the right thing. I was upset but it was for the best

This article helped me out. It actually tell something from my point of view. You have to think about what is more important and not what others think whether the support it or not.

In this article "The New Faces of America" By: Veronica Majerol is about how America is changing. Its talks about how more minorities are being born in the U.S. than whites. They think this may be messing up the nation’s identity.

In the article it talks about how there are more minorities are coming to America and being born here. They there are more minorities then whites. Back in the days in 1950’s there was 89% of whites and 11% others. In the article it says “Not everyone, however, has embraced Americas changing demographics. From 2010 to 2011, more than 150 anti-immigrants laws were passed by the state legislatures, according to Mother Jones magazine.” In 2011 there were 63% whites (non-Hispanic), 17% Hispanic/Latino, 13% Black, 5% Asian, and 4% other. This here shows the changes that occurred in America.

I think that there is nothing wrong with different races coming to America because this is how some people expand their knowledge. They bring different types of foods and things other than what we only know. I like the fact that they come and open up stores and restaurants showing us what they can bring here to America.

This kind of reminds me of a book I read. I forget the name of the book but, the book is about a girl name Zori and she moves who moves to America with her parents and siblings. She thought coming to America she was going to only see black or whites but she realized it was people there that came from the same place as she has. She liked all the new experiences she was opened up to.

This article helped me understand how America is changing and how the identity of America is not the same as it used to be. I never noticed the change in America until I seen the percentages of races that is here today.

The Article " Civil War in Syria Raises Question about when to Intervene " By:PBS News Hour is about how the war that's going on in Syria and how its making it dangerous for other to live there and build a community together.

In the article it says that it's not only affecting how they live but, it also have a affect those who live in Turkey. It stated "The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) estimates that over 200,000 people have fled their homes for calmer parts pg Syria or neighboring countries such as turkey,Jordan and Lebanon."Its questioning how are they going to build a community or come together as one when they in war destroying everything they've worked for.

I think that the war should stop. It's affecting a lot such as Turkey, Jordan, and Lebanon. I feel as though that shouldn't have to go through that it's not they fault. Its hard for them to find shelter, food, comfort, and medicines. Its crazy how 2.5 million people have been affected by the crisis, they all need food, shelter, and medicine as i stated before. They need to cut it out and get it together. They will need a lot of money to recover the damage that took place there in Syria.

When gangs goes to war they do almost similar to how Syria war took place. There was these two young man that lived down the street from one another. One guy looked at the other guy the wrong way. The war started there they had words with each other it was nonsense and needed to be stop. No one dear to say anything every time they seen each pother they would shoot. Making it dangerous for anyone to enjoy life and they actually took people lives over nonsense.

This article helped me look at things differently it can really affect others and then at the end they realize it wasn't worth it at all. Its shows me how they puts everyone life in danger. It also shows how much damage can be done and that's money going to waste.

Give Lance another chance?

 In this article " Give Lance another chance?" By:CNN  is about how an athlete everyone counted on disappointed them. He was an role model to most but his secret was soon discovered by the public nation.

In the article it says he let down the hope of most that counted on him. they thought of him as some one that did it for the purpose of hard work really striving on his own to over come the hard missions. In the article it says " That's because Armstrong's achievements recovering from cancer and then breaking records in the cycling world made him a source of inspiration, an icon of hope." Others support him and say they support him and everyone makes mistakes.  They exact words were " We all have our flaws, we all fall short as humans beings. So, yes I do think anyone can be redeemed, and should be given another chance if he shows true remorse and make amends for his bad deeds."

I think that it wasn't fair to everyone that was really striving to achieve what Lance Armstrong achieve. Being as though he had help it doesn't count all those who looked up to him is now disappointed, that's almost the whole nation. Maybe he wanted to be seen so did that to out stand others. No one will really know the truth but Lance Armstrong. I really think he doesn't deserve another chance that will be giving him another chance to disappoint the public nation.

There was a time when we had to vote on who wanted the line leader to be in grade 4. My best friend and I was like peanut-butter and jelly , we would do anything to see each other. Being as though she entered the contest she expected me to vote for her which I did. Then she asked "Neerah can you get 3 extra pieces of paper and write my name on them, and slip them in the box." I just looked at her with a blank face thinking if I cheat and get caught that will be a disappointment to others. I told her no you have to achieve things like that on your own. She was mad I just thought that wouldn't be fair what so ever.

This article helped me understand a lot. Its help me see how everyone would've looked at me if I cheated or helped someone to cheat on or doing something they could have done on the own with hard work. That's all it takes

All Work and No Play: Why Your Kids Are More Anxious, Depressed


The article "All Work and No Play" is basically about how times have change and how kids aren't the same.So really it explains how over the years play time for children has change a lot when it shouldn't have. They think that every kid should have good childhood memories.

Play time now and days have changed big time. Its states in the article " What are your memories of playing as a child? Some of us will remember hide and seek, house, tag, and red rover red rover."This is they point here they saying kids don't know how to play and have fun anymore. The games our parents and their parents played growing up just isn't the same.

I think that as a kid we should have a good time and keep all the old school games alive. I would want my children to grow up saying "mommy I had the best childhood ever, I wish I could do I all over again." I don't want them saying I hated my childhood everybody was boring, there was no type of games to play growing up our generation grew up way too fast.

Like now and days our generation is growing up too fast honestly, When I'm home with my younger cousins, nieces and nephews I encourage them to play and have fun, don't sit around trying to be grown. I show them the games of "Duck Duck Goose, Hide And Seek, House, Hand Games, and Etc." I want them to experience what I experience growing up. I had an amazing time.

This article helped me look at things differently because now I refuse to let them sit and waste their childhood. Our generation really has a toll on kids that going to be the next generation. Its actually encourage me to encourage the youth to enjoy thy childhood. Its takes a toll on them because it will be a lot of drama if nobody knows how to do positive things.

In this article here it talks about how marijuana is affecting the world and creating criminals. So really it just talks about what happens if you get caught by the cops with drugs on you, they'll arrest you, and if you resist it it'll become a crime. It says that Black and Latino is the most common race that'll get caught with marijuana.

The article tells how many people are arrested for having drugs on them. In the article it says "more than 50,000 people in 2011 were arrested in New York City for possessing small amounts of marijuana...the majority of whom were Black and Latino." They tell how alot of drugs has been skyrocketed and has came with consequences. It says "Despite this change in law, arrest for small quantities of marijuana over the last decade have skyrocketed, with more than 40,000 people arrested and unceremoniously run through the criminal justice system." It also says "But what many people don't know is that the state decriminalized this offense more than 30 years ago, making private possession of less than 25 grams of marijuana a violation punishable by a $100 fine."

Honestly, in this article I think they spoke up on good points. I think that marijuana is becoming a big problem. Very Big! Young children around us think that it is very popular to sell and smoke marijuana because its trending so badly. I think by them arresting them is making a big difference they should keep it up because I want the next generation to be better. Something got to give.

There was a time when my uncle and I walked to the store he got shot-up and he was yelling telling me to run. He got shot up because he had a marijuana related issue. I found out that he had suppose to owe someone money money or a trade, something like that. He started ducking the guy, but he caught him when he least expected him to.

This article has helped me understand why there is alot of people getting arrested and how marijuana is becoming a big problem. It also gave me a better view on how it has taken a toll on this generation today. I guess it'll continue on until they get more serious about this marijuana problem.

In this article its talks about Nicki Minaj and her different personalities. Its says how talented but most people don't like it they thinks its real dumb and childish. They say she does it for attention. They say every since she became famous and change ways such as her body and stuff she been feeling herself.

In this article someone said " I think Nicki Minaj and out of pocket I think the things she does is really uncalled for." Another person said "I really dislike her for how she forgot about who she really was and I feel like she look down on people now." It also said " before Nicki was popular I loved her, I feel like she really changed alot so now I don't feel the same about her anymore."

I think Nicki Minaj and her different personalities is something amazing and very talented.I think it has helped her in a way escape away from things she don't want to deal with and that's fine. Its okay to you know have different personalities. How they think actors do what they do. If people knew anything about Nicki she went to an Talented school to audition in singing but was horse so she took up acting. She an amazing person.

There was a time when people didn't like my cousin because they said that she was 2 faced. I thought it was her personalty period but they said she has more than one personalty. So they kept judging her base on what they. So people stop liking her but know she goes to school for acting and now everyone wants to claim their the reason she got there.

This article helped me because it helped me understand that you shouldn't judge people or under estimate them because of  something you don't like about them. It gave me deeper understanding on taking others as they are.

Should 16-year-olds drive?

This article talks about whether or not teens should drive, its also about what happens letting 16 year old teens drive as far as car crashes and how its really effective and not safe. Most people think that 16 year olds shouldn't be allowed to drive.

In the passage it says "the institutes 17-page report collects research on the minimum driving age from the United States and countries that have higher licensing ages." its also says " the research shows states are making progress in reducing the No.1 killer teens-motor vehicle crashes-through graduated driver licensing. The laws ease restrictions on teen drivers as they gain experience and keep a clean driving record." So they basically want to change the fact that they can drive.

I think that teens shouldn't be able to drive at the age 16, even though I'm going to be 16 soon and anxious about driving I'm not going to agree that it should be allowed. Most 16 year olds are still immature and they don't know how to act in a car full of friends they want to play around alot and prove points to their friends. Some teens aren't yet responsible they drink and drive causing accidents, things that could be prevented.

There was a time when one of my twin brothers which is 16 years of age stole my aunt car. They thought it was cool they went driving around picking up they little friends. They decided to drive down south-Philly my brother got pulled over for speeding and he tried to out run them and ended up crashing the car.

This article gave me a better understanding I thought that driving was going to be an amazing thing but, it's not worth my life. It helped me understand how safe its not.

This article is about how Rihanna isn't afraid to show her fans that she has flaws and it okay to be yourself. She wants to encourage everyone to go for what you think is right, as far as making mistakes and fixing them and being yourself, wear what you please, and don't back down.

Rihanna fans and family talks about how she went from a good girl in the beginning in her career to a bad girl now. Rihanna changed her ways because she says " It's how I felt I was sick of doing the same, I wanted something different, new style of clothes, and music. I felt different like something changed about me." Others thinks this was a bad idea, they say her music always about sex and how she want to be touched. Her parents thought it was inappropriate for her to do those things but, knowing Rihanna she followed her dreams and did it anyways. She didn't care to much about what people thought. They thought her being with Chris Brown after being in that incident was unbelievable. Rihanna didn't she thought that was something that couples going to experience. She encourage her fans in her songs to believe in their dreams and go for what they feel is right.

I think that Rihanna had the right to change her style of clothes and music, I mean she singing it so it has to be something she enjoy doing in order to put all her effort forward. I say that was the best thing she'd done. I'm a big Rihanna fan I love her music, it makes me feel like I'm not alone. As far as mistakes I believed she did learn but you can't stop her from going back to the love of her life. She tells her fans stories about her flaws and mistakes on the Oprah reality show. I believe she was honest about her feelings and why she chose to do what she did. I look up to her as far as my styles of clothing and more. I want to be brave and strong like she is. 

This here makes me think of a time my mom and dad go into an big argument and lead to other things. My family was telling me not to speak to my dad and telling my mom she shouldn't go back to him. I thought otherwise my mom and dad eventually got back together and my family was complete. They didn't want to speak to my mom and I, I didn't care everyone has flaws.

This helped me think about my self more, and think deeply. Half the choices I've mad in life was to impress my family and because I knew that's what they'll want me to do, or dress like. Learning about Rihanna made me change my mind realizing she had experiences similar to me. It helped me find myself and I glad because I'm happy with the person I am today.

In the article '' Yay Boo So Reactions to Obama win vary'' talking basically about how some people are disappointed and how some are happy and how some doesn't even care too much about it. It gives several quotes from people telling why or why not their happy because of Obama reelected as President.

In the passage its taking quotes from different people all over the U.S.A expressing how they feel about this year election.  In the passage it states ''I'm thrilled to death, '' said Barbara Drucker, 61, a Collingswood flight attendant. ''I would never had voted for Romney on women's issues alone.'' Saving the auto industry and killing Osama bin Laden were the key factors that helped the president win four more years, she said. There were some that wasn't happy for example it stated ''I'm not happy,'' said Chuck Rihl,51 ,of Haddon Heights, in his van outside the wawa. '' I haven't had a job over a year.'' ''I think the storm put him over the edge,'' said Len Burkhardt, 53, a computer architect from Haddon Heights. '' I certainly do give some credit ti Chris Christie.'' The New Jersey governor praised the president responses to devastation from Hurricane Sandy. Burkhardt said he would have preferred to have a businessman like Romney in the White House, because Obama is ''not as fiscally smart or fiscally responsible.

I really everyone is tilted to their ow personal opinion. We have voices for a reason. I also believe giving President Obama another 4 years in the White House was an amazing choice. We have to do what we think is right for the U.S.A. I really deep down believe Obama can make a difference. I seen it happen once, it can happen again. I'm not doubting Romney but I know what my president is capable of.

This article reminds me of a time in elementary school when we had to vote on school president and vice president. My best friend and some other girl ran for president, of course i wanted to vote for my best friend but I knew I had to do what was going to best for the entire school. So I voted for the other girl. YES everyone was mad and disappointed in me but I felt strongly good about my choice because I knew it'll make a difference.

In this article '' Will Weather Change Get Some Respect Now'' talks about how weathers changes affects the world today, and how it can be prevented in some ways. It also talks about why Obama and Romney refuses to answer the questions asked by many.

In the article it includes quotes and some information about how hurricanes has damage the world and what they can do to stop it. It says ''hurricanes come from warm water,the warmth fuel creates natural human climate change. It also says Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York says he told President Obama '' the other day it seems we have a 100-year flood every two years now.'' This here shows that weather climate is becoming a bug problem. It also states '' Sandy was particularly destructive because it was prevented from moving back out sea by a ''blocking pattern'' associated with the jet stream. There's a debate about this, but one recent study suggested that melting sea ice in the Arctic may lead to such blocking.

I honestly think that we can as one prevent more bad weather from coming our way if we try. Weather climate may become a big issue to us if we don't see what we can do to reduce whats happening. Theres no point of keep repairing things if they only point to get damaged again, again , and again.

This actually remind me of a time in 7th grade when I had to do a project on the different weather changes and were theres anything we can do to stop them. Well then I didn't have a clear understanding, I had an brief understanding so I really didn't take it all the way. 

This article has helped me in a way that I'll remember some the important things it talked about. It gave me a way better understanding of how hurricanes and other storms are created and what we can do to help with the problem.

In the article Attention Disorder or not, Pills to Help in School

By Alan Schwarz brings to the light how the pills taken by children diagnose with A.D.H.D can also help children with positive behavior in school and at home that is not diagnose with A.D.H.D.

In the article they tell you how it helps the kids with better focus and behavior at home in school. Dr.Anderson stated that the children he sees with academic problems are essentially "mismatched with their environment." Because their families can rarely afford tutoring and family counseling, he said, medication becomes the most reliable effective way to redirect the student toward success." Dr.Anderson said that he decided to change the kid since he can't change the entire environment. 12 year old Alexis ,and 9 year old Ethan was giving Adderall to see if it helps them. In the article it says " The Rocafort decided to use it with  their 12 year old daughter, Alexis, and 9 year old son, Ethan. These children don't have A.D.H.D., their parents said. The Adderall is merely to help their grades, and because Alexis was, in her father's words, "a little blah." "We've seen both sides: we've seen positive, we've seen negative," the father Rocky Rocafort, said.

I think that the medication should not be used to help with grades and other things if they are not diagnose with A.D.H.D. I feel as though the child will start relying on the drug to much to help the produce things they can do with out taking the medicine. Everyone has times when their grades are dropping, sometimes its because they don't give it the effort they capable of doing or maybe their not taking the time out to study. Even collage students are using the drug so that they maintain good grades. I believe they can do it on they own, they have what it takes to make it with out medication. Some children may get addicted and fell like its a need.

This article reminds me of the time when my younger cousin was diagnose with A.D.H.D. His mom would use that as an excuse for everything. I mean sometimes he did things because he knew he could get away with it. My cousin didn't put any effort into anything because he would try to use his diagnose as an excuse but it has come to an end. My cousin is actually very smart when he wasn't on the medication he maintained his good grades and became more interactive at home. The issue wasn't that he had A.D.H.D. It was the lack of effort his dad was putting into being in his son life, and the little attention he was receiving at home. I say they just need more attention. 

This article help me understand why children are taking medication  to help the in school and at home. Maybe children act this way because they want more attention and want to be seen and heard all the time.
