In the article Attention Disorder or not, Pills to Help in School
By Alan Schwarz brings to the light how the pills taken by children diagnose with A.D.H.D can also help children with positive behavior in school and at home that is not diagnose with A.D.H.D.

In the article they tell you how it helps the kids with better focus and behavior at home in school. Dr.Anderson stated that the children he sees with academic problems are essentially "mismatched with their environment." Because their families can rarely afford tutoring and family counseling, he said, medication becomes the most reliable effective way to redirect the student toward success." Dr.Anderson said that he decided to change the kid since he can't change the entire environment. 12 year old Alexis ,and 9 year old Ethan was giving Adderall to see if it helps them. In the article it says " The Rocafort decided to use it with  their 12 year old daughter, Alexis, and 9 year old son, Ethan. These children don't have A.D.H.D., their parents said. The Adderall is merely to help their grades, and because Alexis was, in her father's words, "a little blah." "We've seen both sides: we've seen positive, we've seen negative," the father Rocky Rocafort, said.

I think that the medication should not be used to help with grades and other things if they are not diagnose with A.D.H.D. I feel as though the child will start relying on the drug to much to help the produce things they can do with out taking the medicine. Everyone has times when their grades are dropping, sometimes its because they don't give it the effort they capable of doing or maybe their not taking the time out to study. Even collage students are using the drug so that they maintain good grades. I believe they can do it on they own, they have what it takes to make it with out medication. Some children may get addicted and fell like its a need.

This article reminds me of the time when my younger cousin was diagnose with A.D.H.D. His mom would use that as an excuse for everything. I mean sometimes he did things because he knew he could get away with it. My cousin didn't put any effort into anything because he would try to use his diagnose as an excuse but it has come to an end. My cousin is actually very smart when he wasn't on the medication he maintained his good grades and became more interactive at home. The issue wasn't that he had A.D.H.D. It was the lack of effort his dad was putting into being in his son life, and the little attention he was receiving at home. I say they just need more attention.

This article help me understand why children are taking medication  to help the in school and at home. Maybe children act this way because they want more attention and want to be seen and heard all the time.

What do you think? Do you think the medication help? Do you think you have A.D.H.D at times or you just seek for attention? Do you think you need it to help boost your grades or you capable or your own? Tell me what you think maybe you will maybe you wont.

Obama and Romney clash in a Debate with Biting Exchanges
By: Jim Rutenberg and Jeff Zenleny

In The New York Times Newspaper they find it very interesting that Obama and Romney clashed in the 2nd debate. Jim and Jeff tell how Romney kept bringing the discussion back to the president record. Obama Has Brought Back a fighting spirit he didn't bring to their first meeting two weeks ago.

In the article it says " Following a shaky debate performance two weeks ago that edge in this pivotal last month of the race, Mr. Obama had promised to be more aggressive on Tuesday, and from his very first question he took a shot at Mr. Romney, over his opposition to the Detroit automobile bailout." this here shows that Obama can stick to the promises he's made so far. Mitt Romney kept throwing one thing up in Obama Face. In the article it says "Mr.Romney kept bringing the discussion back to the president's record, saying that the nation should not "have to settle" for continued unemployment around 8 percent. This here shows that they both came to prove a point to their candidates.

I think that president Obama has step up his game in the 2nd debate rather than the first one when he was very weak. i say this because he was more alert than ever he didn't stand a chance of letting Romney get the spotlight. I also think Romney took a good shot at trying to prove his point but I think Obama has what to take and going to be a good leader for another 4 years to the United States of America. Obama performance was very strong I think he did really keep his promise he made, which was being more aggressive in the 2 round I stand proud before a handsome black president who made it down in history. I think Obama makes a great president.

This remind me of a time when we had to vote for school president and vice president. The two stood before a big audience and gave their speech about what they were going to do to make our school a better and safe place. They were going neck to neck with very strong speeches to catch people attention so that they vote for them.

This article here helped me understand where both Obama and Romney were coming from. It helps me understand how hard it is to maintain president and how hard it is to get in the white house. It takes a lot of hard work and dedicated time. So it also helped me understand in order to be president you have to keep you word, have great effort, and really want it.

It makes me wonder if I would ever want to run for president of the United States of America. Would you want to run for president? Do you think you'll have the time and dedication? Do you think you can handle this mentally, physically and emotionally?  Staying up long nights, and taking rude feedback.

Studies Find More Cheating, With High Achievers No Exception By Richard Perez-Pena

Studies find more students cheat now then ever.By Richard Perez-Pena. Studies find that more students are cheating they even revealed high achievers are cheating to get where they are now.Due to the non-strict parents, lacking of ethical children , and access to internet that children have.

The article includes ways that children cheat. A 2010 survey of Yale undergraduates by the Yale Daily News showed that most had never read the school's policy on academic honesty, and most were unsure of the rules on sharing or recycling their work. They also says the Jefferson Institute of ethics says about three-fifths admit to having cheated in the previous year.

I think that students should not cheat in school. Every one for them selves is what it should be. There is going to be times when you have to work on your own and that person you had to cheat off is no longer around for you to cheat any more. therefore you should learn how to work on your own because in reality your cheating yourself in a long run. Believe it or not.

There was a time for me when I wouldn't understand things. So I would think it was alright to sit around and play and when it  comes to the work cheat off a fellow friend. Well there was a time when my fellow friend for me to cheat off wasn't there to help me I flunked the test and from that moment on i haven't cheated I did all my work on my own.
This article helped me alot it should help you realize things to. If you made it this far why give up now?
Texting May Be Taking a Toll
By; Katie Hefner

Texting May Be Taking A Toll by:Kaite Hefner shows some problems that people have with texting.Teenagers send and receive 2,272 text messages in one month. They points out what may causes teenagers grades to drop, caused a disease within the thumbs and focus to be else where but where it suppose to be. Half the parents that complain about they child or children texting problem may have one they self.

This Article includes quotes from a teenager with this experience with her parents. 13 year old Reina racked up 14,528 texts in one month. She would keep the phone on after going to bed, switching it to vibrate and waiting for it to light up and signal an incoming message. Her parents confiscated the phone after realizing her grades fell precipitously. It later states "yet she said there was an element of hypocrisy in all this: her mother, too, is hooked on  the cellphone she carries in her purse.

I think this is a very good topic to focus upon. People should be more aware of what can happen when texting. My principle is against cell phone usage during school. If she seen the phone more than once she will confiscate it. Even though we as children don't understand now, we will later thank them for all the hassle with this cell phone stuff.

It remind me of my 7th grade year when I had a cellular device. At that time when I had my phone I would stay up all night texting getting maybe 2 1/2 hours of sleep. I would miss out on lessons going to sleep because of the lack of sleep i was receiving . My grades began to drop when my mother was notified she confiscated my cellular device until I got my act together. I think it's similar for parents because they were once kids.

This article help me understand why its important to be more focus on sleep and other important things instead of texting a tremendously amount of hours.

This article makes me think, what would my grades look like if my parents didn't care? Parents may think why aren't my kids as responsible as I thought they were.
